Quick answer – which reader do I need?
- Kamstrup Omnipower or 382M → Pow-K
- HAN-NVE interface (RJ45, Norway and Sweden) → Pow-U with RJ45 cable
- M-bus on an RJ12 socket → Pow-U with RJ12 cable
- P1 companion (DSMR) interface on RJ12 → Pow-P1 with RJ12 cable
- Germany: Pow-U is not compatible with German smart meters
- Meters with only an optical (IR) port are not supported
- Many meters in Denmark, Switzerland, Austria and Poland send encrypted data. Ask your grid company for the encryption key (and authentication key, if used) when you ask them to activate the HAN port.
